Imagine this picture: you, a mom on a mission, navigating through deadlines, playdates, and the constant whirlwind of everyday life. Amid all this chaos, there’s a hidden gem ready to help you bring out your best self—Yoga. It’s not just a practice; it’s the spark that can ignite transformative change in your life.

Yesterday, I was grateful for being invited to be a wellness expert for Mumpreneur United to support their physical and mental wellbeing. I was amazed at how many passionate mums want to become their best selves for their loved ones and to make an impact. But, in the hustle and bustle of a mum’s life, a ton of a to-do list could overwhelm and stress; unfortunately, lack of energy and focus on accomplishing their purpose.  

On the first of January, I encourage my family to start healthy habits, eat more healthily, and exercise as a family resolution. Yes, I ask them every year, but I have not yet achieved it; even though I’m a health and wellness expert, trying to convince my family to do the same isn’t easy. It could happen to all of us whether you run your business, work or stay home.

I understand and want you to know that becoming your best self this year isn’t a wish – it’s a reality waiting to be embraced.

Today, let’s explore how Yoga seamlessly fits into your busy routine, unlocking physical wellbeing and a mindset that empowers you to be your best self.

Yoga is not just about improving your physical; it’s a holistic practice that intertwines our lives’ physical, mental, and spiritual aspects. Numerous studies support the idea that regular Yoga can improve cognitive function, heighten focus, and increase self-discipline.

1. Practice Mindfulness...

Mindfulness is the heart of Yoga. You will practise being in the present moment, preventing you from overthinking and being overwhelmed with your thoughts.

Practice going inward with intention-setting. Intention-setting is about purpose; while resolutions are focused on things we should or shouldn’t be doing and are often attached to external outcomes, intention-setting is an inward journey and ultimately less about doing and achieving than it is about being and becoming.

3. Eliminate distractions...

Distractions are an obstacle to your focus. In Yoga, you practise eliminating distractions and focusing more on your purpose to become your best self. 

4. Energy Charger...

Yoga is about being balanced, relaxed and reset when needed. You will practise pausing to reset yourself and bounce back quickly if you fail. 

5. Improve your vision

 You practise paying attention each moment by moment, helping bring clarity, and you can let go of what is no longer serving your purpose and focus on what can support you to your destiny.
